The management of the Kolmani Oil Field has reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and security around the oil facility as a foundation for regional development.

The Base Manager of the Kolmani Oil Field, Unnikrishnan Ordinat, paid a courtesy visit on Thursday to the Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration on security operations.

The Kolmani Oil Field is located between Gombe and Bauchi states and is currently involved in crude oil production.

Ordinat was accompanied during the visit by a former Base Manager, Kaldip Singh, and the Chief Security Officer of the oil field, Kefas Iliya.

Speaking at the meeting, Ordinat said the visit was aimed at formally introducing himself to the NSCDC Gombe State Command and reinforcing cooperation to ensure a secure operating environment at the oil field.

He stressed that security remains vital to the success of operations at Kolmani, adding that close synergy with security agencies such as the NSCDC is essential for sustaining peace and stability in the area.

Ordinat noted that effective collaboration between oil field management and security agencies would not only improve safety but also contribute to the socio-economic development of host communities and the wider region.

Also speaking, the Chief Security Officer, Kefas Iliya, praised the NSCDC for its professionalism and continued commitment to securing the Kolmani Oil Field in partnership with other security agencies.

He said the dedication of NSCDC personnel has played a key role in safeguarding facilities and ensuring the safety of workers at the site.

The NSCDC command stated that the visit is expected to further strengthen cooperation, enhance security strategies around the oil field, and support sustainable development across the region.
