Gaise Baba – God Is Cooking (Album)
Four years after A Decade After, Nigerian Afrogospel artist Gaise Baba returns to the album format with God Is Cooking, a 13-track project that frames Christian growth, purpose and obedience through contemporary African music.
Gaise Baba describes the album as a “13-course meal”, an idea that reflects its movement through reverence, identity, spiritual growth, hope and mission. The writing keeps his Christian message central while drawing from the Yoruba, English and Pidgin expression that has long shaped his work.
The collaborative cast brings together Greatman Takit, Lawrence Oyor, South African gospel singer Nontokozo Mkhize, Cofi Boham and Kaestrings. Production is shared among Sess, RotimiKeys, Reinhard Tega and DJ Klem, giving the project several musical perspectives without losing its broader direction.
God Is Cooking arrives after a period of increased visibility for Gaise Baba and turns that momentum into a more complete statement about discipleship and trusting God’s process.
