Kunmie – 22 (Album)
A year after “Arike” introduced him to a much wider audience, Nigerian singer Kunmie steps into his first full-length chapter with 22, a 13-song debut album released on 14 August 2026.
Kunmie uses the project to explore identity, faith, ambition, relationships and the uncertainties surrounding early adulthood. Instead of treating his recent rise as the destination, the album documents someone still figuring out what success, purpose and personal growth mean to him.
The guest list brings together Phyno, Lojay, Wizard Chan, Zlatan, G4ZI and Joeboy, giving Kunmie access to different voices across Nigerian pop, rap and alternative music while leaving most of the album under his own direction.
22 arrives at an important point in Kunmie’s career, turning the attention generated by his earlier singles into a more complete introduction to his songwriting. Across the project, he presents both the confidence of an emerging star and the questions that come with finding his place.
