DJ 808 - Shenk Me ft. MAVO | MP3 Audio Download

The song takes its name from Nigerian slang referring to rejection or disappointment. MAVO explores the frustration of being turned down, using conversational Pidgin expressions and his characteristic street-inspired delivery to make the subject relatable without losing its playful appeal.

Produced by DJ 808 alongside Caltonic SA, the recording combines rolling log drums, prominent percussion and synthesiser melodies over a danceable rhythm. Its 112 BPM tempo gives the track a steady groove, balancing MAVO’s vocal performance with the energetic instrumental arrangement.

For DJ 808, collaborating with MAVO introduces his production to an audience already familiar with the singer’s growing success. The record also received an official music video, providing another avenue for listeners to discover the collaboration beyond streaming services.
