The song centres on hardship, ambition and the realities behind appearances, with ST ANOINTED recalling life in the trenches, periods of struggle and his hope for God’s intervention. Zyno TopBoy gives the September 2025 remake an additional rap presence without displacing that personal foundation.
Dtonz produced the remix and is also credited on drums, while the expanded version runs for 3:03 compared with the original recording’s 2:18. The familiar refrain remains central to the arrangement as the collaboration creates room for the added performance.
That extra space matters because “My Story (Remix)” retains the directness that helped the original connect while widening its perspective through Zyno’s involvement rather than unnecessarily rebuilding the record.
