Tiakola – Best ft. Rema
Part of WpointM, the new studio album from French-Congolese artist Tiakola, “Best” brings Nigerian star Rema into one of the project’s major cross-border collaborations.
The release comes after “Upa Solide”, which Tiakola used to hint at the collaboration before its arrival. Rema steps into the record alongside his melodic approach, connecting contemporary French rap with an Afrobeats voice already familiar to audiences well beyond Nigeria.
The song sits between melodic rap, Afropop and Afrofusion, giving both artists room to work within the fluid singing-and-rapping style that has become important to their respective music.
Tiakola enters WpointM with an established audience across France and other markets, while his recent work has continued pushing into African music spaces. Bringing Rema into the album strengthens that international connection without feeling removed from the direction of the wider project.
