Months before Where Do We Go From Here arrived, Ghanaian singer KiDi had already introduced “Babylon” as one of the records signalling his next era.
The February 2026 single deals with heartbreak, betrayal and the decision to move forward after a relationship falls apart. KiDi acknowledges the pain but refuses to let the separation define what happens next, gradually turning the record towards independence and recovery.
Ugly and Tough produced the song, continuing a creative relationship that would later become prominent across the completed album. Its Afrosounds classification also sits comfortably within the broad pop direction of the project.
Its earlier release gives “Babylon” useful history within the album campaign. Long before the full 15-song tracklist was available, the record had already shown that KiDi’s next project would make room for vulnerability alongside the romantic confidence associated with his catalogue.
