Bnxn - If You Like | MP3 Audio Download
Closing Still In Charge without a featured guest, “If You Like” leaves Nigerian singer-songwriter BNXN alone to bring the six-track project to its finish.
The EP follows September’s “Online”, and its final record returns the attention fully to BNXN after the collaboration with FOLA that comes immediately before it in the sequence.
Semzi handles the production, supporting BNXN’s melody-first approach with a rhythm-driven arrangement that gives his vocal phrasing space to remain the main attraction through the closing stretch.
Ending with a solo performance suits a project whose title places confidence and control at the centre of its presentation. After a year that also included his collaborative work with Sarz, Still In Charge gives BNXN another opportunity to remind listeners how comfortably he can anchor a complete release around his own voice.
