FOLA - stubborn | MP3 Audio Download
Nigerian singer FOLA adds “stubborn” to his 2026 studio album 9, continuing a period of musical activity that has brought him considerable recognition within the Afrobeats scene.
The song forms part of a project developed from experiences the singer considers personally significant. His songwriting has frequently explored relationships and everyday situations, with Yoruba expressions playing an important role in communicating his ideas to listeners.
FOLA’s musical development has been influenced by contemporary R&B and Afropop, particularly the melodic approach heard throughout his earlier catalogue. His ability to incorporate indigenous expressions into modern Nigerian popular music remains a recognisable aspect of his artistry.
His success has extended beyond individual singles, with catharsis establishing him as an album artist in 2025. That achievement provides an important foundation for his sophomore project, particularly as listeners become increasingly familiar with his songwriting and artistic direction.
