Nigerian singer KellyEazi links up with Nigerian rapper Highstarlavista for “WHY ME?”, an August 2026 collaboration that KellyEazi introduced during its rollout as a heartfelt record.
The pairing has some history behind it beyond this release. KellyEazi performed during Highstarlavista’s campus tour while studying at Enugu State University of Science and Technology, making their eventual appearance together on record a notable progression from that earlier connection.
Davekeyz handles the production, continuing his work around KellyEazi’s recent material and providing the musical setting for the two artists to approach the song from their different vocal backgrounds.
“WHY ME?” follows KellyEazi’s June collaboration “Till when?” with Evado, while Highstarlavista arrives fresh from his six-song Material EP. The single therefore connects two artists currently active within Nigeria’s emerging Eastern music circuit.
