bees & honey – As We Get High ft. OMAH LAY, BEAM & Gyptian
Berlin-and-London-based music collective bees & honey brings Omah Lay, BEAM and Gyptian together on “As We Get High”, a 2026 pop release connecting African and Caribbean voices.
The single follows July’s “SAWA” with AYA and continues the collective’s preference for cross-border collaborations. Omah Lay supplies his melodic presence, while BEAM and Gyptian give the record additional Caribbean character without overcrowding the performance.
The production settles into a relaxed groove, pairing soft melodies with understated percussion and enough space for each vocalist to enter naturally. Its smooth pacing keeps the transitions between the different performers cohesive.
bees & honey already found strong traction with “Show Me Love”, while their FOLA-assisted “when the party’s over” reached the upper end of Nigeria’s Spotify chart earlier in 2026. With three established guest artists attached, this release has similar crossover potential.
